Wonderful World of Magic

Welcome one and all to our blog. Our mission here is to explore the card game Magic the Gathering a turn based card game invented in the early 90's by Richard Garfield, a great mathematician and to expose its awesomeness to the world!! well for all of you who don't know what magic is let me show you rather than tell you.

Within the multiverses there are collections of life scattered around the different planes of existence. there you will find great warriors, immense armies, legends only spoken in whispers. they are yours to wield in epic battles of mass proportions!!

this is the beginning of your adventure.. you decide the warriors, you plan the battles and you fight alongside the multiverses legends. there are five basic colors. each with their own advantages and attributes.

Swamp: dark, cold yet while you hear no noise there is something moving. where death is just an extension of life and fear is stuck into the heart of the bravest traveller.

Island: massive oceans, great open skies where the most intelligent thinkers and tricksy sorcerers work relentlessly to conjure a fleeting images and illusions to confuse and sneak past enemies.

Plains: wide open fields, clouds shade the land, here honor and law combine to create power that can only be respected! power found in numbers and power found in captains.

Mountains: huge sharp cliffs, fire light seen from the horizon, where myth is mixed with reality.. shadows of massive flying beasts, mountains moving as if they where alive and a fire that burns always.

Forest: dense trees, sounds of nature.. the magic that abides here is the oldest and most powerful, there is something in the waters of that place that makes things bigger then they should.

choosing colours that suit your personality can determine how games can go. this is where our blog is going to help you. the colors that Jakeinstein and i play are very different even the styles we play are very different. as we go along you will see this. but together we are going to have some fun.

if you have any questions about magic the gathering or would like to learn how to play go here.

if you have some ideas for decks but dont know where to try them out visit tappedout, you will see some great ideas and it will help you to build good competative decks for compitions.

well untill next time. may the force be with you.
